Notification Settings

Within My Account, there are a number of message notification settings you may customize.

Unread Notification Delay

If you opt to receive unread message notifications from CORUS on your cell phone, you’ll receive a text message (or two, or maybe even more depending on what you specify here in the Unread Notification Delay). These text messages are designed to alert you of an unread message waiting for you in CORUS – the first of which includes a URL to view your message

By default, we will send you one text message notification when a new message has been sent to you in CORUS. One minute later, we’ll send a reminder. One minute after that, we’ll “escalate” to another known endpoint, such as a pager or your Hopkins email.

You can view how your unread notifications work within My Account. Simply select the option from the Unread Notification Delay menu and review the section in blue.

Note

We strongly recommend use of unread alerts. These provide an additional layer of notification, which improves overall safety and reliability of mobile messaging.

If you do not use CORUS in a critical capacity, and wish to disable unread notifications, set the delay to none.
